Why did you join SCA?
I finished my degree in June 2006 and I was looking for my first job. I was very interested in the packaging business so I applied to different companies. I specially liked SCA because I could quickly see that I would be able to develop my ideas and creativity. I felt very welcome since the very first contact.

What makes SCA a special company to work for?
I am proud to say that I belong to a very multicultural company with many different nationalities. We are all very different, but by putting it all together we make it happen, and it works!

What makes your job interesting?
The most interesting part of my job is about creativity. I’m fond of being able to develop ideas and concepts. I also have the freedom to work on projects at my own pace and with the support of the designers’ team. I think this is due to the fact SCA is taking new steps ahead in the packaging business and we work proactively to become a full-service packaging provider.

What would be your advice to those thinking about joining SCA?
Some people are scared about big companies. I would tell this is not the case to be within SCA. Although I am quite new, I believe there are real career development opportunities and I have seen colleagues moving into new positions across countries and business groups, which is great.

Why did you join SCA?
After studying at Lunds Institute of Technology, I had the opportunity to do my master thesis at SCA Packaging’s factory in Värnamo, Sweden. While working at SCA I realized what a stimulating environment the company provided. I have always been interested in packaging and logistics, so when the opportunity to start working as a project manager at SCA Packaging came to me, I did not have any second thoughts about accepting the job.

What makes SCA a special company to work for?
No matter which branch of SCA you join, you will always work for a world wide leader that keeps up with the latest technology and trends in the industry.  The dynamic environment that it creates is both challenging and inspiring. To keep up with SCA’s goals, the company is willing to invest in their personnel and will let one continue to develop as a professional, and to do so in an international setting. The combination of a goal driven organisation in a competitive world, and a company that cares for its employees makes SCA, in my opinion, very special.

What makes your job interesting?
The fact that I work at several different sites throughout Sweden with different people every day and that the projects vary from just a small implementation of new routines to planning and building an entire new factory makes the work exciting on an every day basis. It is also interesting to see how my work can change the way people view their role within the company, which allows them to see that they can make a difference for the company as a whole.

What would be your advice to those thinking about joining SCA?
SCA is always beneficial for those who work hard and towards set goals. Since master's thesis students are welcomed by the organization, I believe that is the best way for one to show why he or she is the right person for us at SCA.
